Mr. Willie Eugene Gilmer, age 92, of Opp, Alabama passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Gilmer is survived by his son, Mike Gilmer & wife, Cassie; daughters, Jennifer Cox & husband, Mike, and Kay Hudson & husband, Steve; grandchildren, Amy Moseley & husband, Chuck, Neal Cox & wife, Traci, Erica Cox, Candace Fannin, Joe Gilmer, Adam Hudson and Ben Hudson & wife, Jessica; and ten great-grandchildren & two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Aughtman Gilmer; grandson, Jonathon Gilmer; brother, Gordon Gilmer; sister, Sybil Coy; and parents, Leora Bozeman Gilmer and Edward Eugene Gilmer.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 14, 2024 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with visitation being held 30 minutes prior to the service. Larry Thompson will be speaking.
