Mr. William Gordon Spurlin, age 85, of Opp, Alabama passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025 surrounded by his family at his home.

Mr. Spurlin is survived by his wife, Frances Hollinghead Spurlin; sons, Skipper Spurlin & wife, Sharon, and Cory Spurlin & wife, Christie; grandchildren, Beth Anne Windham & husband, Griffin, Katie Bowers & husband, Drew, Cole Spurlin, Laura Lee Wilkerson & husband, Levi, and Ben Spurlin; and great-grandchildren, Blakely Windham, Harper Kate Windham, Tucker Windham, Amelia Drew Bowers, Sawyer Anne Bowers and Campbell Wilkerson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Velma Kirkland Spurlin; and brothers, Donald Spurlin and Charles Spurlin.

Funeral services for Mr. William Gordon Spurlin will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from First Baptist Church Opp with graveside services following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Wayne Sharpe, Brian Smith and Cameron Crapps will be officiating with special music by Dr. & Mrs. Steven Presley. Serving as pallbearers will be Cole Spurlin, Ben Spurlin, Drew Bowers, Levi Wilkerson, Griffin Windham and Jay Spurlin along with members of the Mavericks Sunday School Class serving as honorary pallbearers.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Opp.
