William L. Delk, aka W.L. or Bill to his family & fri ends, went to meet his maker o n Saturday, July 10 , 2021.

Bill was born on June 30, 1943 to his late parents, W ellie K. Delk and Avie Register.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Virginia "Sue" Delk; brother, Retired Colonel Lucious Edmund Delk , his beloved wife, Sue, and their daughter Carly Delk .  In addition Bill lost his beloved girlfriend and mate, Rebecca "Doll Baby" Edgar.

Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley Pert Delk; two daughters , Linda McMillan (Buster) and Lorie Reynolds; precious sister, Sally McDonald ( Dabo ); five grandchilden , Randi Lyn Davis (Matt), George McMillan (Emily), Nicole Pena (Carlos), Chelsea Gottberg (Andrew), and Haily Chase Reynolds; five great-grandchildren, Zack Hunter (Denise), Ayanna Luevano , Lane Davis, Kaleab Davis, and Ember Rose McMillan; three s tep-children, Marcus Galloway (Rhonda), Chris Galloway ( Wanell ) and Joshua Galloway (Rhonda); sisters and brother-in-laws, Elaine and Charlie Rhodes, Ann Tabb , Jerry Davis, Flynn Pert ( Lida ), John Pert, and Janice Zorm; and nephews & nieces: Hal Baxley (Thea), Mark Baxley (Debbie) , Brenda Chambers (William), Charlotte Scarborough (Elbert), Jon Delk (Britt), Jeff Rhodes (Allison), Christie Young (Robert), Ivy Howard (Mark), and Brad Tabb (Becca) …and all of their children. In addition, some very special people he loved was Melanie Edgar, Emily Edgar (Kelly), Mindell Glisson (Dale), Macie Taylor ( Duece ).

A memorial service for Mr. William L. Delk will be held at 10 am Monday, July 12, 2021 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am.
