Mr. Wesley Irvin Bess, age 96, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Monday, September 28, 2026 at Westside Terrace in Dothan.

Mr. Bess is survived by his daughter, Judy Bess Holley & husband, Johnny; son, Ray Lamar Rhodes; sister, Margaret Butts; grandchildren, Joni Holley Bess (Jamie), Chad Rhodes (Casey) and Jana Holley Best (Billy); great-grandchildren, Aiden Rhodes, Connor Rhodes, Holley Ana, Kinley Daniele, Will Best and Melody Best; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Bess; parents, Bunnie V. Pierce Bess and Wesley W. Bess; daughter-in-law, Patricia Rhodes; sisters, Kathleen Scofield and Mary Hawthorne; and brothers, William Bess, Howard Bess and Vester Bess.

Funeral services for Mr. Wesley Irvin Bess will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, October 5, 2026 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Bro. Johnny Holley and Bro. Herbert Brown will be officiating with Chad Rhodes, Aiden Rhodes, Connor Rhodes, Jamie Bess, Billy Best and Will Best serving as pallbearers.
