Mr. Charles Wallace Ennis, age 82 of Opp, Alabama passed away peacefully at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He was born on September 20, 1941, in Elba, AL to parents Gladys Sasser and Ed Ennis. He spent much of his childhood in Elba and Opp, Alabama and was a member of the Opp High School class of 1961. Upon graduation, he began his career working offshore for Shell Oil. After 27 and-a-half years working in the offshore oil industry, he retired from Shell Oil. He loved his family immensely, enjoyed staying active, spending leisure time with his family and cheering on the Troy University Trojans and Alabama Crimson Tide football teams.

​Wallace is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ramona Ennis of Opp, Alabama; 3 children: Danae Mullis of Douglas, Georgia, Chuck and Erik Ennis of Enterprise, Alabama; Daughter-in-laws: Sherri and Buffy Ennis of Enterprise, Alabama; 6 grandchildren: Chandler Mullis of Valdosta, Georgia, Spencer Mullis of Tampa, Florida, Parker Mullis of Statesboro, Georgia, Rachel Ennis, Erika Ennis, and Caleb Ennis of Enterprise, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Sasser and Ed Ennis, as well as grandparents, Dewey & Effie Dawkins, and Calvin & Ada Ennis.

​Wallace's family will receive friends in the chapel of Wyatt Funeral Home on Friday afternoon, August 02, 2024, at 2:00PMin Opp, Alabama with funeral services to begin at 3:00PM.Interment will immediately follow at Peaceful Acres Cemetery.

Special music will be provided by Shane Owens, David Rodgers and Jason Hughes.

​Active pallbearers will be: Chandler Mullis, Spencer Mullis, Parker Mullis, Caleb Ennis, Bo Davis, Billy Whitehead, David Rodgers and John Norris.
