Mrs. Walkanita H. Parker, age 85, of Kinston, Alabama passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Walkanita was born in Coffee County, Alabama to her late parents, Cleo Mila Lowery Hataway and Walker Hataway. She earned her Master of Education degree leading to a career span of over 30 years.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her son, Larry Parker & his wife, Angela; and beloved granddaughter, Mila Parker. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Parker, Sr.; one sister; and three brothers.

Graveside services for Mrs. Walkanita H. Parker will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 20, 2025 in Kinston City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Jamey Wismer will be speaking with Bret Rogers, Chad Jackson, Holt Parker, Greg Esco, Dale Glisson and Tyson Sauls serving as pallbearers.
