Mr. Verlon Cotter, age 88, of Opp, Alabama passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Wesley Place in Dothan, Alabama.

Mr. Cotter is survived by his sons, Eddie Cotter & wife, Mary Jo, Mike Cotter & wife, Melanie, and Jonathan Cotter & wife, Sarah; grandchildren, Jara & wife, April, Amber, Melia & husband, Matthew, Audra Loren and Jonah; great-grandchildren, Tenleigh and Cotter; step-grandchildren, Austin and Cole; and sisters-in-law, Joann Hattaway and Pat Wallace. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Wallace Cotter; daughter, Patti Lynn Cotter; parents, Audra Hortense Brown Cotter and Willie Foster Cotter; and siblings, Bonnie Deal, Mary Tom Harrelson, Betty Cotter, Ouida Cotter, Brad Cotter, Cecil Cotter, Keith Cotter and James Cotter.

Funeral services for Mr. Verlon Cotter will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, September 12, 2022 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Wayne Sharpe & Brian Smith will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Weeks, Todd Fleming, David Donaldson, Seth Donaldson, Matthew Denson and Jara Cotter.
