Mrs. Trixie Farris, age 88, of Opp, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Mrs. Farris was preceded in death by her parents, Sybol Maddox and Lollie M. Nobles; sister, Ruth Griffin; infant sister, Hazel Maddox; and by her beloved husband of 62 years, John W. Farris.

She is survived by her loving family, including her daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanne and Danny Hall and Anita and Michael Jones. She was a cherished grandmother to Joshua Hall (Ashley), Karlotta Burgess (Clint), and Olivia Rider (Luke). Mrs. Farris was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Isabella Barton (Kolya), Nelson Hall, John Dawson Burgess, Farris Hall, William Burgess, Stetson Rider, and Silas Rider.

Trixie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was marked by love, kindness, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her caring heart, her dedication to family, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. The service will be officiated by Bro. Wayne Sharpe and Bro. Brian Smith. Pallbearers will be Clint Burgess, Kolya Barton, Luke Rider, Steve Kelley, Larry Jackson, and Nolan Jackson, with Johnny Jackson serving as an honorary pallbearer.
