Syble H. Baldwin, 78, of Thorsby passed away Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 peacefully at her home. She was born on October 16, 1947 in Wetumpka, AL. She was a 1966 graduate of Wetumpka High School. She attended John M. Patterson State Vocational/Technical School from 1966-1967. Her employments consisted of Durr Drug Company 67’-70’; State of Alabama ABC Board 71’-80’; Alabama Power 1981 until she retired in 1992

Syble was an active member of the First Methodist Church in Clanton, Alabama and a member of Aldersgate Sunday School Class and Women’s Circle Group.

Her love for gardening, reading books and working crossword puzzles were a part of her daily routine for many years.

Syble is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Elaine Holley. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth W. Baldwin. Her daughter, Kimberly B Marek of Nashville, TN. Her sister, Patsy L. Holley of Wetumpka, Alabama.Her grandchildren, Morgan M. Garner (Nicholas, of Atlanta, GA) and Michael C. Marek of Chattanooga, TN.

Visitation and Service to be held at First Methodist Church in Clanton, Alabama. Visitation Wednesday, July 1st 10-11am with service to follow.Pastor Wes Kelly officiating with graveside service Thursday, July 2nd at 2:00pm Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens in Opp, Alabama.Pallbearers Jeff Herron, Jeff Porter, Jack Willis, Brad Owen, Andy Millard.

The family would like to thank Expect Care Hospice, all of their professional caregivers who helped with her care and support.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation in Syble’s name to First Methodist Church Clanton, Alabama is greatly appreciated.
