Mrs. Shirley Dianne Kornegay Culbertson, age 83, of Opp, Alabama passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022 in Flowers Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Culbertson was born May 29, 1939 to her late parents, Audrey Yarber Kornegay and Lloyd George Kornegay. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Culbertson is survived by her husband of 60 years, George Murry Culbertson; daughters, Georgianna Culbertson Hughes & husband, Jeff, and Wendy Culbertson Johnson & husband, Clarke; son, Jay Culbertson & wife, Deanna; sisters, Mary Lou Weeks and Lena Eubanks & husband, Lawrence; grandchildren, Hannah Branch & Cole, Colby Culbertson & Caroline, Jacob Johnson, Landon Hughes & Emma, Carter Culbertson & Alex and Morgan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Georgia Ann Branch and Claire Culbertson; and numerous nieces & nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Kornegay; and brother-in-law, Wallace Weeks.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Dianne Kornegay Culbertson will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 5, 2023 from the Highway 84 East Church of Christ, located at 1130 US-84 East, Opp, AL, where she was a faithful member. Graveside services will follow in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:30 until service time. Kevin Presley will be officiating with Colby Culbertson, Carter Culbertson, Landon Hughes, Jacob Johnson, Clarke Johnson and Jeff Hughes serving as pallbearers.
