Mrs. Shirley Ann Gunn Claypool, age 84, of Opp, Alabama passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in the Opp Health & Rehab.

Mrs. Claypool is survived by her husband, Kenneth Claypool; daughter, Sonya Smith & Mitchell Brunson; sons, Dennis "BoBo" Smith & Vickie Heath, Jerry Smith & Elaina and Rickey Smith & Kim; step-sons, Darron Claypool & Lynn, and Bryan Claypool; daughter-in-law, Robin Smith; sisters, Grace Edge and June Crenshaw; brothers, James Gunn and David Gunn; and 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Smith; sister, Evelyn Hale; and parents, Susie Jeffries Gunn and Grady Gunn.

A memorial service for Mrs. Shirley Ann Gunn Claypool will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, November 17, 2025 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel. Janice Carnley will be officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Kenneth Claypool, 110 W. Stewart Ave., Opp, AL 36467.
