Mrs. Sheila Gooden Turman, age 74, of Opp, Alabama passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

Mrs. Turman is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Blake Turman & Kim, and Stephen Turman & Susan; sister, Terri Mikel & husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Kelsi Turman, Katelyn Clark & husband, R. D., Kalli Grace Whiddon & husband, Zachary, Pippin Turman and Baylor Turman; great-grandchildren, Ava Blake, Evie and Little R. D. Clark; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garry David Turman; brothers, Lamar Gooden & wife, Lynda, and Michael Gooden & wife, Yvonne; and parents, Sara Reynolds Gooden and Durwood Byron Gooden.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sheila Gooden Turman will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 18, 2026 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Toby Blair and Ben Praytor will be officiating with special music by her son, Blake Turman. Serving as pallbearers will be Baylor Turman, Stan Gooden, Doug Gooden, R. D. Clark, Zachary Whiddon and Adam Mikel. There will be no visitation prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church in Opp, Alabama.
