Mrs. Sheila Odom Hollinghead, age 73, of Opp, Alabama passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 at her home. She was born in Nuremberg Germany to her late parents, Esta Hammett & Ray Tramel Odom. Sheila was a member of the Opp Church of Christ and Our Safe Harbor Church, and a well-known local author.

Mrs. Hollinghead is survived by her husband of 45 years, Carlton Lee Hollinghead, Sr.; sons, Ray Jeffery Hollinghead, and Carlton Lee Hollinghead, Jr. & wife, Jenn; and grandchildren, Michal Sabre Dane Hollinghead, Jon Curtis Lee Hollinghead and Carlton Lee Hollinghead, III. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred Odom and Bobby Odom.

A graveside service for Mrs. Sheila Odom Hollinghead will be held at 10:00 am Monday, August 10, 2026 at Macedonia Cemetery in the Rose Hill Community. Bro. Trey Poole and Bro. Mark Littleton will be officiating.

The family requests the omission of flowers and memorials be made to Opp Church of Christ or Our Safe Harbor Church.
