Mrs. Sara Coon Carpenter, age 70, of Opp, Alabama passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Sheila Hunt & Lane, and Sugar Allen & Cliff; son & daughter-in-law, Jeremy "Carpo" Carpenter & Karma; brothers, Robert Coon and Wayne Coon; grandchildren, Alyssa, CJ, Jerrica, Clifford, Austin and Jakoby; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Alexandria, Jaelyn, Maddison, Kaleigh, Maceigh, Traiten, Makenna, Audrey and Rylee; and special friend, Joseph Price. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dean Carpenter; parents, Hazel Windham Coon and Nathan Coon; and brother, Bob Coon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Coon Carpenter will be held at 2 pm Thursday, March 11, 2021 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Gridertown Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Rev. Arthur Hornsby will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Cliff Allen, Clifford Allen, Austin Allen, Jeremy Carpenter, Alex Thompson, Hunter Allen, Travis Rogers and Zane Allen. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Opp First Assembly of God.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Sugar & Cliff Allen, 14110 Coon Rd., Opp, Al 36467.
