Mrs. Sally Ann Channell Grimes, age 72, of Opp, Alabama passed away Friday, October 9, 2026 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

Mrs. Grimes is survived by her husband, Johnny Grimes; daughter, Anna Grimes Johnson & husband, Jarret; son-in-law, Taylor White; brother, Juddy Channell; granddaughters, Molly Caroline Johnson, Grace Ann Johnson, Ann Grady White and Mimi Taylor White; sister-in-law, Ginger Whitehead & husband, Tim; brother-in-law, Nicky Grimes; uncle, Sam Benton; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Molly Grimes White; parents, Mildred (Benton) and J. L. Channell; and sister-in-law, Ann Channell.

A graveside service for Mrs. Sally Ann Channell Grimes will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 13, 2026 in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Bro. Gary Miller will be officiating with Jarret Johnson, Taylor White, Judd Channell, Johnny Carmack, Randy Griffin and Seth Hammett serving as pallbearers.
