Mr. Royce Nelson, age 86, of 215 Micolas Street in Opp died Sunday, January 1, 2023 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife, Ann Phillips Nelson; daughters & sons-in-law, Beverly Nelson Chesteen & Darren, and Leighan Nelson Lashley & David; sister, Sannie Ramer; grandchildren, Hannah Chesteen Powell & husband, Jared, and Holt Lashley & wife, Dani; great-grandchildren, Carson & Colden Powell and Isaiah & Avery Lashley; special family friends, Kyle, Kajuanna and Kyla Rhodes; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lula Morgan Nelson and L. M. Nelson; sisters, Vertice, Nell, Beulah and Lois; and brothers, John, James, Robert and Frank.

Funeral services for Mr. Royce Nelson will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Gary Miller will be officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of daughter, Beverly Chesteen, 18714 Fred Carter Rd., Andalusia, AL 36420.
