Obituary

Ronnie Clinton Jordan, a resident of Opp, Alabama, died Monday, June 19, 2023, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Mr. Jordan was born January 6, 1949, in Opp, Alabama, to the late Astor Jordan and Alene Simmons Jordan.  After school, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. After his service to the country, he became a machinist by trade, working many years as a tool and die maker.

Spending time with family and friends brought him a lot of joy.

Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman, finding peace and solace in God's surroundings.  He loved spending his time fishing, camping, woodworking, remodeling boats, enjoying bluegrass festivals, and studying the scriptures.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Kelley Jordan; daughter, Kimberly Fromkin (Mike) of Thomasville, Georgia; son, Therron Jordan (Monica) of Daphne, Alabama; step-daughter, Jacquelyn Shope (Troy) of Dothan, Alabama; two brothers, Larry Jordan (Elizabeth)  and Gerald Jordan (Polly); grandchildren, Charles, Michael, Jacob (Megan), Hannah, John Isaac, Nathan, Harley, Dreama, Emmie, Sage, Galaxy, Dawson and Lucas; great-grandchildren, C.J., Carson and Madeline; nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and a fur baby, Pistol.

Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Donnie Jordan.

Funeral services for Mr. Jordan will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Wyatt Funeral Home in Opp.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cotton Cemetery in Escambia Farms, Florida. Gary Miller and Steve Allen will be officiating.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.  Ephesians 3:20-21
