Mr. Rodney Eugene Watkins, age 59, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022.

Rod was born on December 30, 1962 in Sterling, Illinois to his late parents, Nettie Seigfreid Watkins and Joseph Watkins. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughter, Heather Elkin; granddaughters, Adie, Willow and Lyla Elkin; stepson, John Lee; grandsons, Brandon and Justin Lee; and brothers, William Watkins and David Watkins. Rod's life was full of extended family and life-long friends, as well, who join in to celebrate his memory.

Funeral services for Mr. Rodney Eugene Watkins will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 15, 2022 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Babbie Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Dwayne Seay will be officiating.

Rod did not desire for anyone to fuss over his passing, but instead, "build a fire and drink a beer".
