Mr. Robert Earl McCurley, age 83, of Opp, Alabama passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Mr. McCurley is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Carla & Brock Ballard; grandsons, Lane Ballard and Colby Ballard; brother, Paul McCurley & wife, Shirley; sisters-in-law, Diann McCurley and Mary Ann Odom; brother-in-law, Donald Newby; and many special nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Newby McCurley; brothers, Richard McCurley and James McCurley; sisters, Pat Curry and Faye Smithart; and parents, Mozelle (Glisson) and Russie Lee McCurley.

A graveside service for Mr. Robert Earl McCurley will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 17, 2026 in Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Jerry Elmore and Toby Blair will be officiating with Richard Jackson, Robert Jackson, Chance McCurley, Jimmy McCurley, Glenn Boutwell, Corey Wise, Phillip Whitehurst and Skyler Henley serving as pallbearers.
