Mr. Ricky Duane Mitchell, age 70, of Opp, Alabama passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Rita Chandler Mitchell; sons, Brandy Lane Mitchell and Evan Phillips; twin brother, Micky Lane Mitchell & wife, Dee; grandchildren, Dalton Mitchell & wife, Malori, and Emily Mitchell & Gavin Nall; great-grandchildren, Ella Brook Mitchell and Emerie Layne Mitchell; sisters-in-law, Sherry Hudson & husband, Ray, and Charlene Mitchell; and nieces & nephews, Tamara Phillips Dean & Paul, Shaun Mitchell & Carrie Lou, Derek Mitchell & Charlee Jo Pierce, Brent Mitchell and Cameron Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winnie Fay Short Mitchell and James L. Mitchell; and brother, Randy Mitchell.

A memorial service for Mr. Ricky Duane Mitchell will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, March 21, 2025 from Sweet Home Baptist Church with Gil Elliott speaking. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
