Mr. Rickey Kennett, age 80, of Opp, Alabama passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025 at his home.

Mr. Kennett is survived by his wife, Ann Elmore Kennett; daughter, Sherri & husband, Lannie; sons, Shawn, David & wife, Donna, Justin & wife, Lindsey, and Clay; sister, Deitra & husband, Winston; sister-in-law, Lynn & husband, Lamar; and 15 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quida Jene East Kennett & Charles Richard Kennett, Sr.

Rickey was a devoted Christian and family man.  Spending time in The Word and with his family brought him much happiness.

Funeral services for Mr. Rickey Kennett will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Bro. Hillary Stewart will be officiating with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
