Mr. Willard Ray Jones, age 80, of Opp, Alabama passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at his home.

Ray was born in Andalusia, Alabama to his late parents, Jessie Mae Jackson Jones and Fletcher C. Jones. He worked at Ft. Rucker, retiring after 40 years.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Thelma Day Jones; daughter, Jan Jones Boutwell & husband, Preston, Jr.; son, Marty Jones & wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Amber Boutwell Campbell & husband, Grayson, Kaitlyn Jones Johnson, and Tray Boutwell & wife, Vada; and great-grandchildren, Lauren Reese Campbell, Lane Johnson and soon to arrive, Thomas Ray Boutwell. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Roy Edward Jones and Ricky Hall.

Funeral services for Mr. Willard Ray Jones will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 2, 2023 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Heath Williamson will be officiating with Preston Boutwell, Jr., Tray Boutwell, Grayson Campbell, Scott Sansom, Gary Johnson and Eddie Day serving as pallbearers.
