Mr. R. Dale Aughtman, age 70, of Opp, Alabama passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2026 in Mizell Memorial Hospital. He was born in Florala, Alabama to his late parents, Mamie Chancellor Aughtman and Earl Comer Aughtman.

Dale is survived by his wife, Dianne Burgess Aughtman; daughter, Diana LaSage Aughtman & Patrick McCarty; son, Zackary Dale Aughtman & Jamie; brother, Jerald Aughtman & Sue; sisters, Lynn Allen, Ellie Aughtman and Susie Allen & Andy; and grandchild, Emory Anne Aughtman.

A graveside service for Mr. R. Dale Aughtman will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 31, 2026 in Cotton Cemetery at Escambia Farms, Florida. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home Friday evening from 5 until 7. Greg Allen will be officiating.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
