Mr. Philip William Mixon, age 79, of the Curtis Community died Saturday, February 28, 2026 at his home.

Mr. Mixon is survived by his wife, Kay Weeks Mixon; son, Chad William Mixon; daughter, Kristy Mixon Fischer & husband, Tony; brothers, Steve Mixon and John Mixon & wife, Pat; and grandchildren, Katie Fischer Green & husband, Bill, Hayes Winston Fischer, Grace Mixon Means & husband, Brandon, Cole Mixon and Callie Mixon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma Vilettia Cowen Mixon and Clarence Winston Mixon; and daughter-in-law, Carly Barnett Mixon.

Funeral services for Mr. Philip William Mixon will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 5, 2026 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Opp City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Bro. Randall Pearson will be officiating with Casey Patterson, Richard Patterson, TC Patterson, Grant Patterson, Cole Mixon, Donnie Yow, and Bill Green serving as pallbearers.
