Mr. Braxton B. “Pete” Batchelor, age 92, of Opp, Alabama passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Batchelor is survived by his daughter, Rita Holder; sons, Lamar Batchelor & wife, Stephanie, Lee Batchelor & wife, Martha, Perry Wayne Batchelor & wife, Bonnie, and Mark Batchelor & wife, Sheila; brothers, Gene Batchelor & wife, Connie, and Paul Batchelor & wife, Sandy; and 13 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Elmore Batchelor; son, Russell “Sam” Batchelor; and parents, Jewel Bird Batchelor and Tully Eugene Batchelor.

Funeral services for Mr. Braxton B. “Pete” Batchelor will be held at 10:00 am Monday, June 29, 2026 from First Assembly of God Church in Opp with burial following in Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Sister Pat Kelley will be officiating.
