Mrs. Opal Goolsby Sasser, age 92, of the Rose Hill Community passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Sasser is survived by her daughter, Donna Sasser Baughman; brother, Johnnie Goolsby & wife, Glenda; grandchildren, Douglas Kelly, Madeline Kelly, Jillian Kelly and Brian Baughman; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. H. Clyde Sasser; parents, Vera Shields Goolsby and Earnest Riley Goolsby; son-in-law, Douglas Baughman; brother & sister-in-law, E.R. Goolsby, Jr. & Syble; and sister & brother-in-law, Lousie Goodson & Ralph.

A graveside service for Mrs. Opal Goolsby Sasser will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation held prior to the service. Scott Donaldson and Greg Cotter will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church.
