Mr. Norman D. Strickland "Spanky", age 76, of Hartford, Alabama passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife, Sandra O'Connor Strickland; daughter, Tammy Strickland Simmons & husband, Kevin; son, Michael Strickland; brothers, David Strickland and Derrell Strickland & wife, Marsha; grandchildren, Mikhaila Foley & Kenny, Jaimeson Fallin & Carla, Briana Pooley & Jon, Caiden Channell and Trenton Simmons; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christine Whatley Strickland and J. H. Strickland; sisters, Janice Graham and Rebecca Estes; and brothers, Jessie Strickland and Terry Strickland.

Funeral services for Mr. Norman D. Strickland will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Oakey Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Serving as pall bearers are Jaimeson Fallin, Caiden Channell, Clay Carter, Chris Hammett, Keith Stephens and Mark Glisson.  Honorary pall bearers will be members of the 1982-1983 Straughn PeeWee Football Team. Red Coleman and Derrel Strickland will be officiating with Jaimeson Fallin, Caiden Channell, Clay Carter, Chris Hammett, Keith Stephens and Mark Glisson serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers, will be the 1982 & 1983 Straughn PeeWee football teams.
