Mr. Michael J. Wise, age 45, of Opp, Alabama died Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in a work-related accident.

Michael is survived by his mother, Susie Flournoy & husband, Earl; sons, Cody Wise & Kelsey Doughtie, Tyler Wise & Katlynn Ivy, and Trent Wise; sister, Mary Ann Gust; brothers, Steve Wise & Kelly, and John Wise & Samantha; grandchildren, Hadley Wise, Kesler Wise, Sophia Addison and Colton Axle Wise; girlfriend, Victoria Lippe; nieces & nephews, Ashlan Colbert, Rayne Colbert, Riley Gust, Troy Wise & Ali, Mallory Wise Godwin & Jacob, Kyle Whitman, Madi Henley, JT Whisonant, Adalyn Wise, Stanley Wise; and great-nieces & nephews, Landon Whitman, Bennett Mack Wise, Presley Godwin and Paisley Godwin. He was preceded in death by his father, Mack "Tadpole" Wise.

Funeral services for Mr. Michael J. Wise will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 20, 2023 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Bryan Sawyer and Red Coleman will be officiating with Chandler Williams, Donnie Williams, Bill Phillips, Bruce Lunsford, Arthur Ballard, Dillon Wyatt, Jason Arnett and Roger Smith serving as pallbearers.
