Mr. Michael J. Pickron, age 71, of Andalusia, Alabama passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at Baptist South in Montgomery, Alabama.

Michael "Mike" Pickron, born in Florala Hospital, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. One of five siblings, Mike spent his early years enjoying the simple pleasures of country life -  especially fishing at Long Bridge, a spot that brought him joy throughout his youth with his family.

A talented athlete, Mike played basketball with passion and earned a scholarship to LBW, where his skill and dedication shined brightly. At the age of 19, he met the love of his life, Linda Adams, and the two were married on March 16, 1974. Together they built a life centered around love, family, and hard work.

Mike made his mark in the textile industry, working with Lee for many years before going on to establish his own successful factory back  in his hometown of Florala. Though he worked hard, his heart was always at home—with his wife and children, and later, his grandchildren.

He passed on his love for fishing to his children, often taking them to Dauphin Island Bridge, Gantt Lake, and local ponds creating lasting memories on the water. As his sons grew into men, Mike stood proudly by their side, becoming an even prouder grandfather.

He was a constant supporter of his grandchildren—cheering on Myla and Sassy at rodeos and softball games, encouraging Paul in baseball, soccer, and basketball, and patiently teaching Larryn how to swing a bat and eat chocolate chip cookies.

Mike was a devoted Christian man with a contagious smile and servants heart. He attended Babbie Baptist Church his last ten years of life and was dedicated to learning and studying more about Gods word.

Mike Pickron's life was one filled with love, laughter, dedication, and pride in his family. He leaves behind a legacy of strong values, gentle wisdom, and countless cherished memories.

Mr. Pickron is survived by his wife, Linda Adams Pickron; sons, Adam Pickron & wife, Ingrid, and Miles Pickron & wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Paul Pickron, and Myla, Maridoll "Sassy" and Larryn Pickron; and sister, Vicky Rawls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Coryea Pickron and Q. P. Pickron.

A graveside service for Mr. Michael J. Pickron will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, July 24, 2025 in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Dwayne Seay will be officiating with Adam Pickron, Miles Pickron, Paul Pickron, Tim Morales, Andrew Morales, Judd Rhodes and Nicky Short serving as pallbearers.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Linda Pickron.
