Mrs. Merle Goodson Williams, age 80, of Opp, Alabama died Monday, July 6, 2020 at her son's home.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughters, Gail Lambert and Tina Blair & husband, Noah; sons, Chris Salter & wife, Lisa, and Dale Salter; brother, Frank Goodson; sister, Nell Starlipper; special friend, Don Harrison; numerous nieces & nephews; and 10 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victoria & Clem Goodson; daughter, Debbie Day; grandson, Brack Harrison; granddaughter, Emma Grace Salter; and sisters, Mary Gautney and Winnie Goodson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Merle Williams will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in New Ebenezer Cemetery in the Curtis Community. Glen Tatum and Roy Welch will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Weeks, Donald Weeks, T. J. Hall, Eddie Harrison, Eddie Spears and Justin Killian. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of son, Chris Salter, 11849 Conecuh Cove, Andalusia, Alabama 36420.
