Mr. James Maxwell Jones, Sr., age 84, of the Onycha Community passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama.

Maxwell is survived by his son, James Maxwell Jones, Jr.; daughters, Jeannie Jones, Jan Spears and Joy Merritt; grandchildren, Emily Dorsey, Courtney Pierce, Jacob Spears, John Spears, Jess Merritt and Dillon Jones; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley D. Jones; and parents, Bozena Edge Jones & Oather O. Jones.

A graveside service for Mr. James Maxwell Jones, Sr. will be held at 2 pm Sunday, August 9, 2020 in Earlytown Church of Christ Cemetery. Jerry Elmore will be officiating with Wyatt Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family will be receiving friends at Maxwell's home, 14959 J. Entry Rd., Opp, Alabama 36467.
