Mrs. Mary Anna Prather Roquemore, age 97, of Opp, Alabama died Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in Mizell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Covington County, Alabama to her late parents, Ora Solomon Prather & Thaddeus Ferguson "T. F." Prather. Mrs. Roquemore was a life-long resident of Covington County. She worked at Alatex in Andalusia for 41 years before retiring.

Mrs. Roquemore is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Jackie Roquemore Barker & Bernie; sons & daughters-in-law, Wayne Roquemore & Alison, and Ted Roquemore & Linda; sister, Margaret Fenner; brother, Earl Prather; six grandchildren, Chris Barker, Kathryn Samples (Clint), Jeff Roquemore (Julie), Brad Roquemore, Kim Hatchett (Hal) and Hunter Roquemore; and five great-grandchildren, Mary Beth Hatchett, T. J. Hatchett, Ellery Roquemore, Anna Kate Samples and Jill Roquemore. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John William "J.W." Roquemore; brother, Solomon "Mutt" Prather; and daughter-in-law, Penny Roquemore.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Anna Roquemore will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 7, 2020 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation for friends will begin at 9:30 Saturday morning. Wayne Sharpe will be officiating with special music by Lynn & Chris Weide and Connie Kelley. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Barker, Jeff Roquemore, Brad Roquemore, Hunter Roquemore, Clint Samples and John Leonard. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church, 110 E. Hart Ave., Opp, Alabama 36467.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Linda & Ted Roquemore, 195 Woodfern Dr., Opp, Alabama 36467.
