Mrs. Margene Gaines Wood, age 83, of Opp, Alabama joined her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Linda Meeks & Bookey and Glenda Anderson & Junior; son & daughter-in-law, Wayne Wood & Paula; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Wood; brothers & sisters-in-law, Donnie R. Gaines & Bobbie, Royce Gaines & Linda and Steven Gaines & Dee; and 12 grandchildren & 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Wood; son, Glen Wood; and parents, Ola Williams Gaines and William R. Gaines.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margene Wood will be held at 2 pm Sunday, July 26, 2020 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Pat Kelley will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family will be receiving friends at Mrs. Margene's home, 116 West Stewart Ave., Opp, Al 36467.
