Mr. Loyd H. Nichols, age 86, of Opp, Alabama went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, May 28, 2026. He was in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Loyd was born in Kentucky on April 10, 1940 to his late parents, Lacy (Clement) and William Edwin Nichols. He was a career Navy Veteran of 21 years.

Mr. Loyd H. Nichols is survived by his life partner, Ms. Bobbie Bozeman; daughter, Debra White (Rob White); son, William Nichols (Chris Nichols); and grandchildren, Jessica Lowe (Kyle Lowe), Shannon Eckert (Adam Eckert) and Emily Nichols; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, and many more loved ones.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
