Mrs. Lou Ellen White Dyess, age, 84, of Opp, Alabama joined her Lord & Savior on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Dyess is survived by her husband, Rev. Charles H. Dyess; daughters & sons-in-law, Debra Jewell & David and Ellen Spann & Larry; son & daughter-in-law, Steven Thompson & Billie; step-children, Dr. Lance K. Dyess, Kerry Dyess, Kathy Dowling and Frieda Bradshaw; sisters, Jeanette Walker and Jo Ann Williams; and numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles J. Thompson; parents, Mirtie Rainey White & W. A. White; and 8 siblings.

A graveside service for Mrs. Lou Ellen Dyess will be held at 2 pm Thursday, May 21, 2020 in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Billy Fortune will be officiating with Wyatt Funeral Home directing.
