Kathy Jo Johns, age 70, passed peacefully in her home on Thursday, December 21, 2023.  She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gary Johns; son, Jeremy Johns and his wife Megan; daughter, Heather Johns Graham; mother, Myrna Jo Creel; brother, Johnny Creel; and two grandsons, Jack and Henry Graham. She was preceded in death by her father, Sanford Kenneth (Kent) Creel.

Services celebrating her life will be held at Memorial United Methodist Church, 1007 W Cummings Avenue, Opp, Alabama at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 27, 2023 with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Dr. Mickey Hawkins will be officiating. Immediate and extended family as well as close friends will be in attendance.

Kathy was born in Cullman, Alabama on April 6, 1953. She lived a rich and full life, and ultimately, settled in Fort Walton Beach, Florida 23 years ago, a town that she and Gary, and their children and grandchildren, made their home and in which they built many of their memories.

Those who loved and knew Kathy will hold her ever in their hearts, and remember she has been made whole, now rejoicing in the arms and love of our Heavenly Father and those who have predeceased her.
