Mrs. Judy Matthews Prater, age 70, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Prater is survived by her husband, Donald Gaston Prater; daughters, Allyson Collins & husband, Brett; son, Scott Prater & wife, Wendy; sister, Vivian Hargrove; grandchildren, Caleb Brett Collins, Lydia Rayne Collins and Mack Prater; mother-in-law, Frances Prater; and sisters-in-law, Donna Prater Youmans and Annette Prater. She was preceded in death by her parents, Winslow Matthews and Mavin Bryan Matthews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Judy Matthews Prater will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery, Elba, AL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Bro. Carroll Parker will be officiating with Terry Kersey, Terry Kersey II, Spencer Youmans, Adam Jones, Michael Hattaway and Lewis Hattaway serving as pallbearers.
