Anis Juanita Welker, age 100, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2023. She worked for many years as a cosmetologist and even taught classes in the industry. She was a member of Center Point Church in Wetumpka, Alabama. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melfred Welker; grandson, Blue Hattaway; parents, John Myrtle and Annie Leah Dorsey Blackmon; and brother, Bufford L. Blackmon.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Rebecca (Ellis) Foster and Lessie (Bob) Gray; grandchildren, Jennifer (Adam) Daley, Karen (Danny) Bryant, Cindy (Wallace) Rayfield and Robby (Sharon) Gray; six great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anis Juanita Welker will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 19, 2023 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Opp City Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Bro. Tom Gaylord will be officiating with Adam Daley, Zane Herrington, Scott Foster, Danny Bryant, Joshua Bryant and Jeremy Bryant serving as pallbearers.
