Mrs. Juanita Walker Weeks, age 76, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025 at The Beacon in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She was a long-time resident of Opp before she and Edward made their recent move to Gulf Breeze. Mrs. Weeks was born in The Perry Store Community to her late parents, Cloyesther Taylor Walker and Jim H. Walker.

Juanita is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edward Weeks; son, Glen Weeks & Hope; grandchildren, Katie Weeks and Chris Weeks; great-granddaughter, Everett Weeks; brothers, Marvin and Lewis; and numerous nieces & nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Irene, Grady, Junior, Lois, John, Mary, Joseph and Richard.

Juanita's biggest blessing was her family. Her two grandchildren and great-granddaughter were her pride and joy. One of her favorite pastimes was watching the grandchildren play sports when they were younger. Juanita was a retired seamstress who enjoyed camping in NW Florida and South Alabama. She also loved to fish! If she caught it, it went in the pan.

Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Walker Weeks will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 9, 2025 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8. Glen Weeks will be speaking with special music by Melanie & Neil Kendrick. Chris Weeks, Dewayne Walker, Derek Weeks, Darrell Weeks, Randy Walker and David Morrow will be serving as pallbearers.
