Mr. John "Papa John" Robert Williams, age 65, of Opp, Alabama passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 in a Tuscaloosa hospital.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Katie Mathis Williams; son & daughter-in-law, Lee Williams & Tamra; daughters & sons-in-law, Casey Mathews & Bo, and Sylvia Scholten & Garrett; adopted son, Shawn Danley; stepdaughter, Tammy Atkins & John; brothers, Tony Williams and David Williams & Mary Jo; sisters, Glenda Donaldson & Dwight, Kathy Carter, Cindy Morrison & Jeffery, and Pam Williams & Ginger; and 13 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Sue Schofield Williams and Harold Glenn Williams.

Funeral services form Mr. John Williams will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, Sept 23, 2020 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 Tuesday evening. Gary Miller will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Danley, Richard Sutton, Tom McCall, Taythen Williams, Trenten Lewis, Christopher Atkins and Chris Kidd. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Wyatt Funeral Home for funeral expenses.

The family will be receiving friends at the Williams home, 1000 Perdue St., Opp, Alabama 36467.
