Mr. Joseph Alton Jackson, age 80, of Opp, Alabama passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Annie Louise Layne Jackson; sons, Greg Jackson & Stacey, and Jermain Jackson & Emily; daughters, Sharleen Lowman & Scott, and Sonya Page & Sarge; son-in-law, Kenny Fillingim; grandchildren, Haley Bishop & Michael, Mykenzie Jackson, Caid Jackson & Presley, Joshua Jackson, Tyler Lowman, Jake Lowman & Melissa, Maddy Lowman, Seth Lowman & Sherri, Byron Fillingim & Melody, Blane Fillingim, Brett Fillingim, Keylee Fillingim and Kyler Fillingim; and great-grandchildren, Olivia Bishop, Everett Bishop, Lottie Bishop, Maddox Fillingim and Josie Lowman. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gretchen Fillingim; and parents, Vera Mae Kidd Jackson and Alton Jackson.

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Alton Jackson will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 25, 2024 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with military graveside honors following in Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 until 8 at Wyatt Funeral Home. Austin Sullivan will be officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the Jackson home, 17774 Co Rd 95, Opp, AL 36467.
