Mr. James A. "Jim" Cameron, age 88, of Opp, Alabama (formerly of Plant City, Florida) passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

"Jim" was born in Florida to his late parents, Vivian Gause Cameron and Clarke Cameron. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country for four years. He worked for Tampa Electric and retired in 1997 after 34 years of faithful service. After retirement, Jim and Yuvonne left Plant City and moved to Opp.

Mr. Cameron is survived by his wife of 65 years, Yuvonne Frazier Cameron; sisters, Christine Cahow and Beverly Allen & her husband, Clavie; and numerous nieces & nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cecelia Burdick.

Funeral services for Mr. James A. "Jim" Cameron will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 13, 2025 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Gary Miller will be officiating with special music by Kay Bellino and Roger McLain. The deacons of Westview Baptist Church in Opp will be serving as pallbearers.
