Mr. Howard Wood, age 72, of Opp, Alabama passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 in UAB Hospital-Highlands.

Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Diane Calhoun Wood; daughter & son-in-law, Melanie Wood Bryan & Jeremie; grandson, Mason Bryan; sister, Nellie Wayne Hare; brother, Jerry Wood & wife, Melissa; special nieces, Denise Reeves, Taylor Kilcrease, Whitney Kilcrease, Heather Kilcrease and Joy Butler & boys; and numerous other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Wood; and parents, Pandora Fuller Wood and Louie Frank Wood.

Funeral services for Mr. Howard Wood will be held at 11:00 am Friday, June 7, 2024 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with military graveside honors following in West County Line Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 until 8. Heath Williamson and Shaun Moore will be officiating with special music by April Calhoun Parmer. Serving as pallbearers will be Riley Danner, Jay Johnson, Bob Kimble, Gary Price, Jerry Chancellor, Mark Johns, Dennis Crowe and Daniel Hattaway.
