Mrs. Hester Lou Qualls, age 77, passed away in Leesburg, FL on Thursday, October 22, 2026. Hester lived a life devoted to her family as a homemaker. She was born in Sardis, Mississippi.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, David; children, Krista (Larry), William (Emiko), and Lisa (Terry); grandchildren, Christopher (Emma), Tiffany (Nicholas), William, Natasha, Lukas, and Keyara; great-grandchildren, Paysen, Sylas, Lane, Kiya, Lawson, and Emery; and sisters, Patricia (Deon) and Deborah (Clyde). Hester is preceded in death by siblings, Genevia, Mary, William, and Danny; and grandsons, Phillip and Matthew. 

Hester enjoyed crocheting Afghans to gift to loved ones, baking home-cooked meals, caring for both vegetables and flowers in her garden, and playing games around the table with her family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 29, 2026 in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hwy 84, Opp, AL. A visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home one hour prior to the graveside service.
