Mr. Herman Gay Ellison, age 84, of Opp, Alabama passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Ellison is survived by his wife, Exie Wise Ellison; sons, Anthony Ellison & wife, Michelle, Steve Ellison & wife, Kim, and Chuck Ellison & wife, Amy; eight grandchildren & five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tera Haughton Ellison & Porter Ellison; brothers, Tommie Lee Ellison, Wilburn "Red" Ellison and Hurtis Ellison; and sister, Jean Anderson.

Funeral services for Mr. Herman Gay Ellison will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Bobby Morgan will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Sharpe, Andy Lott, Keith Wise, Tony Ellison, Wayne Danford and James Anderson with Joseph Ellison, Ryan Ellison and Clay Smith serving as honorary pallbearers.

The family will be receiving family and friends at the Ellison home, 505 E. Park Ave., Opp, Al 36467.
