Mr. Harrel Short, age 81, of Opp, Alabama passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Harrel is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law, Sherry Vidich & Michael, and Julie Short & Rusty; son & daughter-in-law, Steven Short & Lisa; sister & brother-in-law, Jackie Bailey & Jack; sisters-in-law, Faye Short, Virginia Short and Patricia Short; and 6 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, JoAnn Short; twin brother, Farrel Short; other brothers, Dorman Short, Wayne Short and Infant Jackie Ray Short; great-granddaughter, Emma Luepnitz; and parents, Emma Lee Taylor Short and James Dorsel Short.

A private graveside service for Mr. Harrel Short will be held at 10 am Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in Sweetwater Cemetery. James Kilpatrick will be officiating with Wyatt Funeral Home directing.
