Mrs. Geraldine P. "Gerrie" Smith, age 89, of Kinston, Alabama passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at her home. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Heflin Smith; daughter & son-in-law, Kathy McKinney & Phillip; son & daughter-in-law, Darren Smith & Jenelle; son-in-law, Bob Hughes; sisters, Ann Smith (Jack), Rebecca Matthews, Lou Ellen Martin and Eulene Jones (Waylon); grandchildren, Bronwynn Hughes, Zach McKinney, Amber Sullivan (Joey), and Patrick Smith (Kelsey); great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Sullivan, Elliott Sullivan and Everett Smith; and numerous close family members & friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Hughes; brothers, Ronnie Phillips and Earl Phillips; and parents, Univee Hall Phillips and Ocie Wesley Phillips.

Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine P. "Gerrie" Smith will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2023 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Dwayne Seay will be officiating with Tom Northey, Shane Smith, Chris Weeks, Philip Jones, Max Smith and Chase Williams serving as pallbearers.
