Mr. Esker Chambless, Jr., age 83, of Samson, Alabama passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 in Wiregrass Health & Rehab.

Junior was born June 15, 1938 to the late Esker Chambless, Sr. and Effie Ezell Chambless. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Shirley Chambless.

He is survived by his brother, Robert Chambless, Sr. of Samson; nephew, Robert Chambless, Jr. & wife, Lora, of Kinston; niece, LyDonna Chambless Farris & husband, Brad, of Kinston; great-nieces, Rebecca Chambless of Dothan, Paige Farris Johnson & husband, Saege, of Wicksburg, and Haley Farris Collins & husband, PJ, of Kinston; great-nephew, Josh Chambless of Kinston; and great-great nephew, AJ Collins of Kinston.

Junior served in the Alabama National Guard for many years. He was an avid Alabama football fan, and loved watching them play every weekend.

A graveside service for Mr. Esker Chambless, Jr. will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 20, 2022 in Macedonia Cemetery in the Holley Store Community. Joe Farris will be officiating with Wyatt Funeral Home directing. Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Farris, Josh Chambless, Saege Johnson, PJ Collins, Kem Holley and Keith Phelps.
