Ms. Emily Edgar, age 60, of Opp, Alabama passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

Emily is survived by Kelly Johnson & her daughter, Braedyn Newton; sisters, Melanie Edgar, Mindell Edgar Glisson & husband, Dale, and Macie Edgar Taylor & husband, Deuce; brother, Angus Edgar & wife, Stacie; aunt, Vivian Stewart; nieces & nephews, Ali Taylor Goins & husband, Chris, Sara Rebekah Glisson Moulton & husband, Dylan, Maggie Taylor Jones & husband, Cade, Thomas Glisson and Daxton Edgar; great-nieces & nephew, Sailor Goins, Dollie Mae Moulton, Suzanna Goins, Slate Goins; and soon to arrive, great-nephew Jones and great-niece Moulton; as well as many other family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rebecca Young Edgar and Durwood “H. D.” Edgar.

A memorial service for Ms. Emily Edgar will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 9, 2026 from Westview Baptist Church. Bro. Gary Miller will be officiating. He will be accompanied by eulogists, Sharon Spurlin, Mindell Glisson and Macie Taylor. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
