Elder Micky Smith, age 76, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Noland Hospital in Dothan.
Micky was born in Hartford, Alabama on July 16, 1949 to his late parents, Bertha Mae Avery Smith and John Irvin Smith. For most of his adult life he held a management position in the automotive repair industry. In 2008 he was ordained as an Elder in the Primitive Baptist Church and was currently serving at Mount Carmel Primitive Baptist Church in Greenville and Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Opp. Wynette and Micky were married on March 14, 2009 and cherished one another each and every day of their life together. It was shared that Micky was one of the kindest, most spiritual and loving men there was, and he is now spreading that eternal love from a heavenly pulpit.
Elder Smith is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Wynette Allen Smith, and their fur-baby, Lulu; brother, Tommy Smith; sisters, Pat Smith & Glen Rice and Serena Hall & husband, Ben; niece Amy Dodge, & husband, Jim; great-nephew, Dax Dodge; brother-in-law, Tommy Allen of Grand Island, NY; and aunt, Sue Ellison & husband, Larry; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Smith; and fur-babies, Tucker, Patches, Rascal, Suzette and Schwang.
Funeral services for Elder Micky Smith will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Pine Level Cemetery in the Pine Level Community outside of Elba, Al. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Elder Scott Sexton will be officiating with Don Stinson, Dewayne Hawthorne, Tim Hair, Horace Rutherford, Buddy Bryan and Bob Holman serving as pallbearers.
